Subscapular Nerves

Lower Subscapular

Upper Subscapular

The Subscapular (upper, middle, and lower) nerves are derived from the posterior end of the brachial plexus. The subscapular nerves accompany arteries to their target muscles. The Lower Subscapular nerve innervates the subscapularis and the teres major muscles. The middle subscapular (thoracodorsal) nerve innervates the latissimus dorsi muscle. The Upper Subscapular nerve innervates the subscapularis muscle.
