Posterior Femoral Cutaneous Nerve

The Posterial Femoral Cutaneous nerve (S1-3) passes through the infrapiriformal area, courses to the inferior margin of the gluteus maximus and innervates the skin of the posterior thigh as far distal as the popliteal fossa. The skin in the region of the gluteal fold is innervated by its gluteal branches, the inferior cluneal nerves.
