Pituitary (Hypophysis)

The Pituitary (Hypophysis) sits in the sellae turica of the sphenoid bone behind the optic chiasm. It is roofed over by the diaphragma sellar except where this is perforated for the accomadation of the stalk of the infundibular of the hypothalamus.
