Mylohyoid Nerve

The Mylohyoid nerve arises from the inferior alveolar nerve just above the mandibular foramen. It pierces the sphenomandibular ligament and runs forward on the medial surface of the body of the mandible below the mylohyoid line. It lies superficial to the mylohyoid. The mylohyoid nerve innervates the mylohyoid and the anterior belly of the digastric.
