Rhomboid Major/Minor

The Rhomboids take their origin from the spinous processes of C7-T5 vertebrae and insert on the medial border of the scapula from the root of the spine to the inferior angle. The dorsal scapular nerve innervates the rhomboid muscles.

Ordinary function of the arm is affected less by loss of the rhomboid muscles than by loss of either trapezius or serratus anterior.
