Round Ligament of the Uterus
The Round Ligament of the Uterus is a continuation of the proper ligament of the ovary. It creates a peritoneal fold in the broad ligament establishing the boundary of the anterior and posterior leaflets. It traverses the inguinal canal and attaches to the upper portion of the labium majus. The round ligament of the uterus is the homologue of the gubernaculum of the testis.
