Adrenal

The flat Adrenal (suprarenal) gland sits on the superior pole of the kidney like a cap with its broadened base medially. The right adrenal is triangular and fits in the angle between the kidney, inferior vena cava, and bare area of the liver. The left adrenal is crescent-shaped, extends inferior to the medial margin of the kidney, and contacts the posterior wall of the omental bursa.
